Week 1 - Understanding the Scope and Scriptural Framework of God-Glorifying Time Management

Week 2 - Identifying your God-given Roles and Responsibilities

  • Scripture Focus for this week: Read/Study the following verses/passages and journal a paragraph about God’s purpose and mission for every believer. [Isaiah 43:7; Psalm 96:3; Matthew 5:13-16; Matthew 22:34-40; Romans 11:36; I Corinthians 6:19-20; Ephesians 1:3-14]

  • Practical Assignment for this week: Complete the Roles Worksheet

Week 3 - Articulating God-Glorifying Goals and Mission

  • Scripture Focus for this week: Read/Study Mark 1:35-39 and examine the model of our Lord. Also additional option: Read the gospel of Mark observing how Jesus was obedient to the Father, submitted to the Spirit and sacrificed for others.

  • Weekly Article for this week: Read 4 Lessons in Fruitful Time Management - By David Mathis & You have Just Enough Time - By John Bloom

  • Practical Assignment for this week: See the end of the notes from this week for the practical assignment relating to writing your mission statement out.

Week 4 - Discerning Wisdom in Choices of Time Management

Week 5 - Formulating Wise Short Term Plans

  • Scripture Focus for this week: Read/Study Matthew 6:25-33 and Philippians 4:4-7. Observe and meditate about how God want’s believers to rightly think about and respond to anxiety and worry.

  • Weekly Article for this week: Read First Things First: Make the Most of Your Mornings - By David Mathis & God’s Sovereign Plans Behind Your Most Unproductive Days - By John Piper

  • Practical Assignment for this week:

    • If you don't already have an effective planning/scheduling tool, purchase one.

    • Revisit your mission, roles, goals, core values.

    • Tonight, plan your week using the 3 principles and 6 step process from the class notes this week.

    • Each night this week, do a daily review and adjusted plan for the next day.

    • Schedule a seasonal review for sometime prior to going into the Summer months.

    • Don’t get discouraged. This is life-long process. Find joy in the continued growth of this process.
