Deacon Care Groups
As First Baptist Church grows numerically, there is a need for developing smaller groups in order to achieve unity in the larger community. A natural and practical division of the congregation is achieved by separating the body into seven groups and connecting each group to one of our elected deacons. Since the deacons are tasked with providing spiritual encouragement and practical care for the needs of the congregation, a Deacon Care Group supplies a vehicle to effectively accomplish those objectives. These groups typically meet four times per year in lieu of a regularly scheduled Sunday evening service.
